Arsenal star Bukayo Saka went down midway through the first half of the Gunners’ Champions League match against Lens and was replaced by Fabio Vieira. The England international has doubts over his availability after picking up an injury against Bournemouth, but he started the match in France.

His night lasted just 33 minutes after he went down with a hamstring strain. Not long ago, Saka told Arteta that he felt a slight hamstring strain. He failed to take any risks against Manchester City at the weekend and was immediately withdrawn. A big Premier League clash with Pep Guardiola’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with many expecting Saka to be rested against Lens, but Arteta decided to start him despite playing in the last two and limping out of the game.

While the powerful blow appeared to be the cause of his limp, the problem appeared to be muscular in nature as the 22-year-old fell without a limp. Vieira has therefore been recalled immediately and, if the situation is serious, he will have to be replaced on the right wing to face the reigning champions, but the seriousness of the injury is not clear.

Arsenal fans are hoping it is nothing serious as they will be facing Manchester City in a couple of days and that is a must win match for them
